TREND #1 - SUSTAINABILITY 🌱
Following consumer trends, sustainability will no longer be optional for B2B companies. Businesses will be expected to at least offer sustainable options, and at most revolutionize their business model to be more sustainable.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Look for promo products that are natural, organic, or come in packaging made from recycled materials or can be recycled after use.
TREND #2 - GIVING BACK 🧡
Businesses will be looked to for driving environmental and social change.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Implement a giveback program that aligns with your brand’s values. Consumers are more inclined to work with businesses that are doing more than just selling a product or service.
TREND #3 - SELF-CARE + PERSONALIZATION 💆
Mental health continues to be important as we navigate another pandemic-impacted year. Self-care moves away from a buzzword and becomes a mainstay. But next year, end users will expect each self-care experience to be customized for them. One size ﬁts all is over.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Consider promoting outside the box; look for promo products outside of traditional pens, mugs, or hats that deliver a unique self-care experience (think relaxation kits, aromatherapy, and hand sanitizer, or any other self-care product).
TREND #4 - GEN Z ENTERS THE WORKFORCE 🙋♂
Gen Z are digital natives, they care about people and planet, and they favor gender neutral.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Your messaging and delivery of a promo item to a Gen Z audience is just as important as the product you brand. Pair a digital component, like a QR code, to a gender-neutral product - like drinkware - and you’ll have a winning combination. Bonus points for a drinkware piece that offers a give back.
TREND #5 - HYBRID BECOMES THE NORM 💻
In 2020, we shut down. In 2021, we moved to hybrid when we could. In 2022, hybrid becomes the norm. Hybrid events, hybrid offices, etc. is here to stay.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Hop on board with kits! Kits have steadily risen in popularity since they offer a way to connect people who can’t physically be together. Kits provide the opportunity for a shared experience.
